This quantitative study explores positive aspects of psychology as predictors of transformational leadership behaviors. Participants will include higher education leaders in the California State University. The researcher will analyze the survey data using statistical analysis through a conceptual framework of transformational leadership and positive psychology theories. This study expands research on the relationships between transformational leadership behaviors, hope, sense of purpose, wellbeing, and emotional intelligence. Results are anticipated to provide insight into antecedents of transformational leadership behaviors and therefore would be of interest to executive coaches; human resources professionals; educational, organizational, and leadership theorists; and those who develop educational leadership curriculum.
