Evaluation of a Mental Health Leadership Intervention: A 12-Month Postsecondary Cohort Study

Abstract

In recent years, organizations, policy makers, and researchers have underscored the importance of developing and implementing mental health intervention programs in the workplace. The purpose of the program evaluation is to describe the impact of the MHLC at [Redacted] for human resource managers and other stakeholders that participate in the program. Data for the evaluation came from baseline, post 3-month, 6-month, and12-month training evaluation surveys as well as post 12-month interviews administered to employee managers and directors who participated in the Workplace Mental Health Leadership Certificate training program. After analyzing participants’ pre- and 12-month post-training scores, we found that participants believed they have improved their ability to manage all the aspects of mental health issues examined.
