Abstract

Researchers have begun to examine ways that principal preparation works to develop candidates’ knowledge, practices, and dispositions around anti-racism. In this review of the literature, we look to ways that the research attempts to measure candidates’ development. Findings show that for every empirical study, there is a unique methodological approach. We argue that this lack of shared understanding of what we are measuring, and how we are measuring it, is a critical area of concern for leadership preparation to address.
