Abstract

This research examines efforts to adapt an undergraduate Introduction to Multicultural Education course in response to the crises of 2020-21 (e.g., the global pandemic; political battles on race and education; the attempted insurrection of the U.S. Capitol). Curricular and pedagogical changes were implemented not only in response to moving the course online, but with attention to the impacts of said crises on student learning, engagement, and well-being. Specific strategies and considerations are shared.
