The purpose of this mixed-methods study was to explore PreK-21 teacher-learner needs and support for using digital tools and instructional technologies. Faculty in a teacher-preparation program engaged in this study to inform changes in curricula precipitated by the switch to remote, online learning in response to the COVID pandemic. This study contributes to the knowledge of pre-service teacher preparation, the use of instructional technologies and development of technological pedagogical content knowledge. Preliminary findings suggest the effectiveness of a non-credit course in digital tools and increase in learners’ self-efficacy.
