Exploring and Navigating Documentary Research: An Open Forum

Mon, April 25, 11:30am to 1:00pm PDT (11:30am to 1:00pm PDT), San Diego Convention Center, Floor: Upper Level, Sails Pavillion

Abstract

As has been tradition, open sessions were created to support scholars to develop their ideas related to mission of the SIG—doing biographical and documentary research. As such, this session seeks to provide a forum in which participants may seek insight from other SIG members related to issues, obstacles, problems, or dilemmas encountered while doing documentary research. A discussion facilitator may provide issues, examples, or ideas that are often faced while engaging in the research process. Important to this session, participants will bring their own examples and/or concerns to the forum to gain insight and discover resources that may assist in their own research. In past meetings, such opportunities have been appreciated when program space has been available.
