Abstract

This study aims to examine how Discourses about race may operate via tweets from political, student organizations. Political student organizations offer an intersection between higher education and a turbulent U.S. socio-political milieu. Through this proposal I will explicate how the examination of Discourses about race in tweets, from political, student organizations offer an opportunity to understand and expose how Discourses about race may support and perpetuate hegemonic whiteness in many higher education institutions.
