According to the social information process approach, we proposed a serial mediation model from humble leadership to knowledge sharing. But the multilevel path analysis on 537 elementary and secondary school teachers from 238 PLCs in China demonstrated that the positive association between teachers' perception of humble leadership in PLCs and teachers’ knowledge sharing was mediated by teachers’ psychological safety and psychological empowerment, respectively. In addition, the significant direct effect of humble leadership on knowledge sharing and a non-significant association between psychological safety and empowerment were found. It indicates that, in addition to the direct effect, humble leadership may be helpful to knowledge sharing in PLCs by ameliorating teachers’ concern for taking interpersonal risks and improving teachers’ psychological empowerment separately.
