Abstract

This study aims to examine the teachers' experiences in the learning-teaching process during COVID-19 pandemic, and compensation solutions applied for SIFE students in this experience, based on teachers’ mindset. Participants consisted of five female and one male teachers who voluntarily participated. Personal information form, mindset questionnaire and semi-structured interview form were used in data collection process. The data were analyzed by content analysis. The study shows that, in addition to socio-economic and language barriers, access to infrastructure and technology constitutes a reason for SIFE. All teachers agree that there is a need for long-term compensation; however, it was revealed that teachers with growth mindset stated that this problem can be solved, while other teachers stated that it cannot be solved.
