There is a growing research base on the impact of College Promise programs on student outcomes for individual programs. However, because part-time students are not eligible to participate in most College Promise programs, little – if any – prior research has explored the relationship between participation in a college promise program and student outcomes for part-time students. This study sought to fill this gap. Using institutional data from a moderately sized community college in Southern California and a series a conditional linear probability models, the authors estimate the impacts of College Promise program participation on student enrollment patterns and degree completion. Results and policy implications are discussed.
