Abstract

The researchers present the development of the Supervisees’ Perception of Supervisor Competence Scale, a 21-item instrument designed for counseling trainees to provide feedback about their respective university and/or site supervisors. This paper describes the scale and evaluates the psychometrics of the reliability and factor structure of the scale. Factor analysis of data from 185 graduate counseling students yielded two factors. The researchers also discuss the implications for counselor education and directions for future research.
