Abstract

In a complex conceptual system, conceptual stories and conceptual metaphors describe the conceptualizations of research, teaching and services from which practices emerge. In this paper, we present the results of a new methodology we created to do complex conceptual systems analysis. We conducted complex conceptual systems analysis to find correlations between conceptualizations of research, teaching, and service and high-impact practices. We also conducted semantic network analysis and other correlation analyses. In our findings, we identify and characterize conceptualizations of teaching and learning, of research, of service, and of impact.
