Exquisite Corpses: Surrealist Portraiture, COVID-19 Curriculum, and the Bio-Educational Child

Sun, April 24, 8:00 to 9:30am PDT (8:00 to 9:30am PDT), San Diego Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

This creative account explores ¬¬a form curriculum inquiry we term surrealist portraiture as a way of deeply engaging with the “vexingly volatile and constantly changing circumstances” of curriculum inquiry and more particularly the surreal curricular times and spaces of Covid-19 (Bauman, 2007, p.3). Toward these ends ends, we reconfigures data from two qualitative studies that explore a lived curriculum of Covid-19 into a research-based, cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse) composed of three distinct narrative and visual montages titled Data Melt I; TP & Anomie and Curriculum & The Bio-educational Child
