A fundamental component of art education is oriented around one’s relationship to art in public contexts, designing pedagogies that frame the interactions between reflective practitioners and the spaces with which they engage. Guided by a/r/tographic renderings, and in response to Haraway’s (2019) geostories, we sought to curate possibilities of diffraction-in-action with critical, experimental, and speculative openings through the personal geographies of becoming artist/researchers/teachers. Adopting a lens of living inquiry, conversations and creative journaling generated propositions of mattering with, in and through walking with the museum. Through pre-visit, on-site and post-visit phases, students responded individually and collaboratively to the museum space. While all students were invited to contribute to this study, here we profile the engagement of five representative participants.
