Classroom Teachers as Researchers

Abstract

There has been a movement to move research into practice, to encourage teachers to use research-based pedagogy, and to base instructional decisions on data. This study specifically investigates the process and impact of teaching action research to in-service classroom teachers, the perceptions of teachers who are or were engaged in action research projects (at varying levels), and the outcomes for students who have been in classrooms where action research is practiced.
