Recent crises in higher education have led to presidential resignations. Quality of response by leaders to crises is critical for accountability and public trust. The purpose of this study is to consider the use of critical discourse analysis as a means to examine the response of college presidents in the midst of their resignation by examining one specific resignation at a large, public institution.
