Abstract

Youth adapted nonfiction texts are a fast growing and lucrative genre. In our comparison of the youth and original versions of Notorious RBG, we found the youth adaptation removed complex issues from the text. We caution researchers and teachers from the uncritical promotion of youth adapted texts.
