COVID-19 changed all aspects of our lives, especially the experiences of K–12 students and teachers. This paper provides insights into teaching and learning during the pandemic from the perspective of students and teachers at 23 magnet schools. Preliminary analysis indicates that at least two-thirds of teachers thought that their students were learning as much or more as they were prior to the pandemic. The majority of students surveyed in each school also reported that they learned about as much or more than before the pandemic, with the exception of one school. Additional analyses should provide valuable information for policymakers and educators on successes and challenges experienced by teachers and students in magnet schools during the pandemic.
