"Why Give, When All They Do Is Take": Faculty of Color Leader Identity Development

Most research on leadership diversity examines current/former leaders, we know less about the experiences of prospective leaders of Color. This study examines 31 newly-tenured faculty of Color (FOC) and how organizational structures and networks influence leader identity development and interest in academic leadership. The results will complicate existing theory while offering applications for leadership development.
