Effective Citizenship as a College Learning Outcome Among ROTC Cadets

Abstract

Using data from interviews with 20 U.S. Army ROTC Cadets in one battalion, this study examines the holistic development outcomes that accompany participation in ROTC. Findings suggest that ROTC is an example of a community of practice that supports overarching postsecondary learning outcomes related to effective citizenship.
