Sat, April 23, 2:30 to 4:00pm PDT (2:30 to 4:00pm PDT), San Diego Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

Using university websites, course descriptions for courses connected to education law content was examined at all colleges and universities in the United States and its territories to identify the level of exposure both undergraduates in teacher preparation programs and administrators have in principal preparation programs to legal content. Data is presented by U.S. Appellate Court District as well as by state. Data is further disaggregated by initial teacher licensure type (general education, special education, and English learner). Discussion centers on findings for both teacher training programs and administrator training programs.
