Revolutionary Love Begins With Examining Unconscious Biases

• In Event: Revolutionary Love: The Role of Antiracism in Affirming the Literacies of Black and Latinx Elementary Youth

Abstract

This qualitative study was conducted in a professional development partnership (PDS) between the local university and a local elementary school. The site for the research was in the classrooms of one biracial female early childhood teacher, one white female elementary teacher educator, and one Black teacher educator . This presentation is designed to share key data from observations, in-depth interviews, course content and materials, and the pedagogical practices of both the teacher education and the early childhood and elementary school teachers.
