Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of number-correct (NC) routing vs. theta routing in terms of probability of correctly routing to Stage 2 modules under different 1-3 MST test design factors including test information function (TIF), Stage 1 module length, and Stage 2B module ability range for an alternate assessment program. The results have practical implications for selection of routing methods in MST and test construction considerations especially for the students with cognitive disabilities.
