Filling in Potholes: How College Access Programs Aid Participants' Journeys to, Through, and Beyond College

Abstract

College access programs (CAPs) seek to increase college enrollment for minoritized, lower-income and first-generation students whose road to and through college can be filled with potholes. This study describes the undergraduate experiences of 24 CAP “alumni” and the resources gained from CAPs that aided their journeys to and through college.
