School readiness is the preparedness of child before entering school for the first time. This case study focused on how a NA family who has a child with a disability viewed school readiness. This study points out the strengths that a NA preschooler with disabilities comes to school with and how to best support this NA family with school readiness. This study can also inform federal policy makers to recognize that a narrow view of school readiness can be a detriment to culturally diverse families whose school readiness values may not be exactly the same as those found in the mainstream culture.
