Qualitative Research SIG Mentoring Session 2: Qualitative Inquiry for Critical Mo(ve)ments

Thu, April 21, 8:00 to 9:30am PDT (8:00 to 9:30am PDT), Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, Floor: South Building, Level 1, Pacific Ballroom 17

Abstract

We all experience moments of "stuckness" in qualitative research, moments when we are not sure how to proceed with our research. This session is an opportunity in which graduate students and qualitative scholars come together to engage in and with topics of methodological stuckness in a consideration of qualitative inquiry for critical mo(ve)ments. In this invited session, qualitative scholars (emerging and experienced) grapple with the complexities in qualitative inquiry that may have us stuck with theory, research design, data, ethics, writing, and other practices/processes. Here, we learn from and with each other as we consider the future of qualitative research.
