Abstract

This panel honors the legacy and ongoing impact of Dr. Linda P. Ware’s scholarship, teaching activism, and mentoring in the formation and entrenchment of Disability Studies in education as an academic subfield and discipline. Panel papers will reflect Dr. Ware's enduring contributions to scholarship, activist teaching, and mentorship that work to disrupt, critique, and humanize K-12 educational practices, as they related to students labeled with disabilities-- persistent issues that scholars in the field continue to face.
