Abstract

This symposium brings together education scholars that prepare bilingual and binational educators at the Mexico-U.S. border. Building from a variety of distinct multiple year partnerships, this panel presents on innovative projects that integrate transfronterizo perspectives, pedagogies, and practices in the preparation and development of bilingual and binational classroom teachers that work with students on both sides of the border. Panelists share how COVID-19 transformed their project efforts and what lessons were learned to sustain and strengthen partnerships across institutions and borders.
