Abstract

This Vice-Presidential Invited Session represents Part I of an effort to brings together leading scholars on predominantly Black K-12 public schools, activists, and scholar-activists actively involved in highlighting how the disproportionate closing of these schools threatens neighborhood stability, student achievement, and ultimately, Black lives.
