Sat, April 23, 8:00 to 9:30am PDT (8:00 to 9:30am PDT), San Diego Convention Center, Floor: Upper Level, Room 7A

Session Type: Invited Speaker Session

Abstract

Educational leaders have faced unprecedented times recently, not solely because of the covid-19 pandemic, but because of global economic unrest, unparalleled climate incidents, and often diaspora resulting from political unrest or civil wars. The challenges resulting from these crises have also been unique, often leading educators to wonder how best to address the needs of diverse student bodies, with considerable varied needs, family backgrounds, and previous educational experiences. The international panel of presenters will share their research and provide adequate time for a discussion of some of the issues: incivility, the pandemic, refugees, women, and wellness.
