Teacher educators have an essential role in increasing their students' global competencies. However, teacher education colleges are one of the least internationalized programs on college campuses nationally and internationally, and pre-service and in-service teachers finish their degrees with a lack of education in global competencies. This research explores the impact of a year-long professional development program and the experiences of thirteen teacher education faculty members in incorporating global competencies in their courses. The results revealed that teacher education faculty members had transformational experiences at personal and professional levels as a result of this grant-funded project. At the end of the session, some implications for developing professional development projects to increase the global competencies of faculty members are also provided.
