What dispositions are present among researchers committed to justice work? This study uses reflection data from six members of a research-practice partnership to showcase their values and beliefs in community-based, equity-oriented research. Using thematic analysis and arts-based methods, the reflection data were analyzed and represented as I-poems. This work is theoretically grounded in Bourdieu’s conception of habitus. Because habitus is a “socially produced cognitive structure,” we can use I-poems to invite intellectual and aesthetic responses to cultivate researcher dispositions toward intersectional justice.
