Abstract

A review of the importance of the work of B. D. Weinryb in the recovery and analysis of east European communal record books with special attention to those of his publications that appeared under the auspices of the AAJR. The paper will also mention the AAJR's support of displaced European Jewish scholars after WWII, Weinryb among them.
