Session Submission Type: Panel
Two-generation (2Gen) approaches, sometimes referred to as Whole Family Approaches (WFA), intentionally coordinate and align services for children with those for parents. At the core of 2Gen services is collaboration and the theory that integrated services positively impact caregivers (e.g., parents, guardians), children, and families more effectively than siloed provision. 2Gen programs work to impact families on multiple levels, across sectors, and disrupt cycles of poverty. Similarly, their effects on policy can also be felt at multiple levels and ripple throughout policy worlds. This panel will share findings from four evaluations of 2Gen programs that cross various human service sectors, highlighting how research findings can impact policy at institutional, local, state, and national levels. The four papers highlight cross sector research and different entry points to transform policy.
