Session Description

This panel uses a variety of theoretical and empirical approaches to examine American Indian policy and intergovernmental relations in the contemporary era. Using both quantitative analysis and theory building, the papers address a number of topics including gaming, environmental protection, Native identity and the role of Congress and the President in setting the American Indian policy agenda.
