Developing Pedagogy for Working and Parenting Students

Abstract

Although tremendous strides have been made in developing political science pedagogy to benefit different types of undergraduates, one area omitted from pedagogical research has been the needs of students who work more than one job and students who are also raising children, particularly younger children. Using feedback from teaching evaluations, I seek to develop methods for improving political science education access for working and parenting undergraduates, in an effort to increase student performance and to make it more likely that these students will improve their classroom learning.
