Educational Partnerships: Enhancing Outcomes with Civic Engagement

Abstract

Partnerships with civic organizations can enhance student learning through practical experience and civic engagement. This project explores how a partnership with the League of Women Voters enhanced educational outcomes in the American Government classroom and in the campus community. This session will share practical strategies and project ideas that have been used to give students the chance to explore opportunities outside of the classroom engaging with new voters, government officials, and community activists.
