Session Description
This panel brings together scholars working on cutting-edge issues of politics in the rural sector. The papers are all clearly related, and touch upon this year's conference theme in that they explore origins and consequences of economic and political inequalities of land ownership, and of mass and elite efforts to redress or maintain these inequalities. We have also arranged for one of the world's foremost experts on the politics of the rural sector to serve as panel discussant.
