Rebel and Government Institutions in Civil War

Session Description

Recent scholarship has focused on understanding the interaction of various institutions, including the provision of goods or taxation, with conflict processes. However, these studies generally focus solely on either government institutions or rebel institutions. This panel brings together papers that focus on different actors and institutions during civil war to begin a dialogue on how government and rebel institutions interact with each other and the effects of government and rebel institutional-interaction on conflict.
