Session Description
The panel brings together four papers examining right-wing populism in Western Europe. We assess the
causes of right-wing voting (notably, downward class mobility and terrorist attacks), the stability of radical right partisanship as well as voters’ motivation to join protest of the far right. In so doing, we draw on evidence from social media, panel surveys as well as behavioral data from radical right protests.
