Session Submission Type: Full Paper Panel
The aim of this panel is to critically dissect some key issues, problems, concepts, practices, and ideas that contemporary regimes of neoliberal governmentality and neoliberal violence both rely on and reproduce. Among such ideas/concepts/practices to be tackled by the papers on this panel are notions like intensity, risk, competitiveness, resilience, acceleration, freedom, self-monitoring, verticality, agony, and death-making. This panel is not just intended to be yet another opportunity to challenge neoliberalism, but rather to highlight the pervasiveness of key concepts and practices that fuel neoliberal governmentalities today.
