Session Description

We propose a panel of papers that use formal theory to explore different aspects of the judicial system, including: 1) the nature of facts versus law in appellate judicial decision making; 2) the role of strategic litigants in the judicial system; 3) racial bias in civilian-police interactions; and 4) accountability and roll-call voting on judicial nominees.
