How has labor responded to the increasing appeal of populism around the world? Have civil rights concerns been pushed to the background? The papers in this section discuss the intersection of labor and civil rights in this era of rising populism by considering issues related to gender, immigration, and education, in addition to the use of civil rights frames in advocating for concerns of the labor movement. The papers consider evidence from a variety of countries and political contexts.
