The papers included in this panel discuss a broad array of strategies for advancing and hindering LGBTQ rights in the U.S. and abroad. Topics to be covered and analyzed include popular culture depictions, amicus curiae briefs at the U.S. Supreme Court, social movement strategies at the local and state level as well as the national level in the U.S., India, and South Africa.
