What is Wrong with Nationalism?

Session Description

Many see nationalism as an aggressive set of believes that justify lording over other nations. The same observers tend to point out that many of our problems do not know borders, and need to be treated on a global level, for instance climate changes. Nationalism hinders global governance. Others point out that there can be “good” nationalism, sometime referred to as civic nationalism or patriotism. It involved love of country and devotion to the common good. For many people the nation is a major source of identity and meaning.
