Session Submission Type: Created Panel
Diversity and inclusion are foundational to democratic governance. Yet, women - and women from historically marginalized groups in particular - are frequently underrepresented as candidates and elected officials. This panel looks at circumstances and policies that facilitate the inclusion of women, including women of color. The panel also examines formal and informal barriers to inclusion and explores the experience of serving in office.
