Session Description
This panel focuses on a range of papers and innovative methodologies focused on the politics of party promotions and signaling mechanisms between party cadres. These are examined at lower-levels of the political hierarchy as well as among political elites. A diverse array of data sources are utilized including party committee records, political slogans and experimental designs that compare pairs of household twins.
