TLC at APSA: Nonpartisan Student Voter Education and Engagement--Putting Research into Action

Session Description

Political science faculty and others committed to increasing nonpartisan student voter education and engagement have in recent years developed new research, programs, and curricular tools aimed at understanding and embedding civic learning, political engagement, and informed voter participation into the undergraduate experience inside and outside the classroom. As we reflect on the 2018 elections and prepare for 2020, participants in this workshop will become familiar with a range of opportunities available to scholars and practitioners in the context of voter education and engagement; experiment with a selection of pedagogical and programming tools available to them; and explore the research opportunities associated with their use. Together presenters and participants will begin to formulate a research and action agenda for upcoming elections.
