Session Submission Type: Roundtable
This panel will take the form of a Community Conversation about how APSA as an organization, and each of us as individual's connected by a shared profession, can work to address consequences of increasing contingent work. The conversation will be sparked by brief remarks from Daniel T. Scott co-author of The Gig Academy: Mapping Labor in the Neoliberal University. All are welcome; no preparation is expected. However the Status Committee on Contingent Faculty in the Profession is sponsoring a book club on this topic. Please email Tanya Schwarz at [email protected] to request a copy of the book.
