COVID-19 and In-Person Voting: Public Health Perceptions

Abstract

The 2020 election presented unprecedented challenges to voters casting their ballots. This paper uses data from the 2020 Survey of the Performance of American Elections to examine the experience of voters who cast their ballots in person to assess the conditions under which voter felt confident that polling places were laid out to protect their health.
